The Vampire Players Manual

Welcome to Vampire, where you play the role of a wandering, bloodthirsty vampire.

The world you play in is namedDunnis, a land where Humans and Vampires live together in havoc and agony.

You are just a normal vampire, with the quench of thirst for blood.
Your role is to drink the blood of others, wether they be a normal person, or another vampire.
Normal people will give between one and thirty quarts of blood.
Other vampires will give away the difference between your strength, and the other player's intelligence.

There are special tiles in the vast world of vampires.
These includeBanks, and Teleporters.
AtBlood Banks, you can deposit, or withdraw blood you have drank that is on hand. You may wish to do this if another vampire is trying to drink all of your blood, or you just want to keep some around as a sort of savings account.

ATeleporter will, of course, teleport you to a random location in the world.
Currently, this only costs ten turns, but in the future, it will cost quite a bit, and it will wander about the world as if it were a regular player.

A few side notes to help:
-As long as you have less than one-thousand blood on hand, you can mouse over a player's name, and it will tell you how much blood they hold on hand.

And now for the skills:
This is a exciting feature of Vampire that makes it stick out, in Vampire, you are able to increase your statistics to improve gameplay.
First of all, Strength will affect the amount of damage you will inflict on other real players.
Dexterity controls how many turns it takes to walk a square.
Biting others uses the same system, but it is an average of your Dexterity and Intelligence.
Having 1-9 Dexterity means it will cost 10 turns to move, though, if you have 10-19 Dexterity, it will only cost 9, and so on.
And Intelligence controls how much resistance you have to other real players' attacks.

Here is an example of the system:
tj9991 decides he wants to attack the player Qill.
Qill has 5 intelligence, while tj9991 has 7 strength.
In this scenario,tj9991 would win, and recieve two quarts of blood.

Every 10 human kills you make, you will receive a skill point.
Spend this by clicking theYour Stats link on the left of this page.

Blood types are used to distinct players from other players. Having a different blood type than another vampire when you choose to bite them will result in getting double the blood you would have normally gotten.
The blood types areA and B.
Administrators have blood typeC.
Changing your blood type isn't cheap. To change it, click Settings, and click either the A or B button to change your type to that.
Each change costs1000 turns.
